Portrait of Baul Installation
A temporary site-specific video installation commissioned for the main foyer at the Barbican Arts Centre, London. The installation conveys the transient nature of the Bauls’ performances and existence, and their temporariness in physical space. A column in the foyer was transformed through projection into a glowing pillar of light and sound: the ‘Baul’ emerge from the concrete surface to sing, before dissolving once again into the architecture. The installation was part of Interfaces—Processing reality through art and technology.
Role. Creative Direction / Motion Graphics
Client. Enamel Hoque / Barbican Arts Centre
